the entrance into the main building is on the left, near the post, and the entrance to the schoolroom is just behind the Red Leaders car.

This is the dam when it was about 3/4 finished. yeah i'm the fatty sitting on the submerged rock.

i believe this was on the first day. they didn't mess around and got straight into the damn-building process.

possibly the best shot of the house

house and convoy, taken near the front gate.

time for a catch-up? get comfy, it's big.

i figure it's been over a month since my last post. and since the laptop's been fixed (again) i really have no excuse.

u may wonder what i've been up to in the past month.
the main things i've done include a trip up to brisbane to visit the family, Jawsome bought a car while we were up there. there was a heap of running around to go with that, but eventually (after an extra day) it was finished and we could drive it back home.

we left brissie about 4pm. got back home at about 1.30/2am. and then i had to work 9-6 that day.
yeah i was so wrecked. took me a week to catch up on sleep.

the next weekend, the Teen arrived. i picked up the Dark Twin (one of Jawsome's sisters) and we headed off to the airport, which is a good 2 hr drive away. luckily i got to take the new car, or as we like to call it, Da Supra. with emphasis on "Da".

the Teen looked as if she was going to fall asleep on the way home. which is funny cause there's not much room in the back of Da Supra. and now that i think of it, Jawsome has named Da Supra. i can't exactly remember what he's called it. it's some old fashioned name. him and the Housemate have a list of really awesome old people names. like mavis, daisy, pearl, gertrude, etc.
yeah, they have a whole list. it's funny some of the ones they come up with. but he's called Da Supra one of those names.

anyway, back to my story......

so the Teen arrived on the saturday, that afternoon we got dragged off to play with Jawsome's family. he doesn't get to see them all very often, so it was an early christmas. and even Teen and myself got a little something. she got licorice and i got a jar of bo-peeps. i was set. Teen learned how to peel prawns. she was quite pleased with herself. and the family got her to take the family happy snaps. which i had to be in. i hate photos.

on the tuesday, we went off to Jawsome's parent's place to await the arrival of Jawsome and one of his mates. we left Da Supra at the parents and all piled into my Shitbox and started on our merry journey to Moonin Brook.

we met up with a motley crew of Jawsome's mates who now reside in newcastle. they had brought a total of 3 cars, making us now a 4 car convoy. many jokes were cracked about big rigs and the red leader.

to get to MB, we had to go over the barrington tops. in winter, it snows. and i found out after we had returned, that it had in fact snowed the weekend before we set out. which is odd cause it was late november at this stage.

i'll be able to post some pics i took along the way once i finish this post.

Jawsome took over the driving from glouster as apparently it was mostly dirt, and very steep. and he had been going to MB since he was 13.

it was a fairly hard drive. we had to stop part way to let out brakes cool down. and it wasn't just us. the whole convoy had hot brakes. so we stopped for about 5 mins and just had a big laugh about everything and cracked some more big rig jokes. there were 5 guys and 4 girls at this stage. so go figure.....

once we got over the first set of hills it was smooth sailing for a while. then the car in front of us stopped, his engine was getting too hot. the guy behind us drove like a grannie so it was up to us to chase down the first car (we shall call him Red Leader, purely because he was, in fact, driving a red VW golf, and he was in front....) and told him of the situation. it took us about 5 mins to catch up to him. and considering it was all uphill and we were in my shitbox, it was a pretty impressive effort. and my engine temp mever got hotter than halfway. take that 6cyl ford!!!

we stopped and chatted with Red Leader for probably about 10/15mins, and then the others caught up to us, and we set off on our final leg of the journey.

there were so many shenanigans on the way that i can't even begin to type them. one such shenanigan involved Jawsome's mate travelling with us (we'll call him Sasquatch cause he's bloody tall!!!) almost going through the back of my seat cause Jawsome was being silly. we had to dodge soooo many potholes that it ended up being a game. but we did have Red Leader in front, going through all the potholes, so we just kept an eye on him and dodged the ones he hit.

when we finally got to MB, we unpacked the cars, chose our rooms and put the food and drinks in the fridge.

there were 3 rooms in the main house, with a double bed and a single in each, and the outside room had about 10 bunks.

we were told it was a old schoolhouse. Teen and i stood inside the old schoolroom (with the bunks) and we both revealed later that we both had a weird feeling about that particular place. the main house felt fine, but the bunkroom jsut felt odd. once Teen posted pictures of it on her myspace, she got a message from my best mate, Glamourcide. turns out she'd had a dream about that place (she's never been outside QLD) and she was in the bunk room and it felt bad and she woke up in a cold sweat. it's pretty freaky when that shit happens. cause i had a dream where something happened to her but she was pregnant at the time. turns out she was, but hadn't told anybody. lol. she was pretty spooked when i told her.

but anyway........

within half an hour of arriving, the boys set off to work. about 100m from the main house is the brook itself. and over previous years, the kids had started to build a dam everytime they went.
this time though, there were about 6 people working on it. and by the 2nd day, they had made it to the middle. they've never managed to do that before. i even helped. it was bloody cold! and the rocks were heavy, but it was still fun.

the entire time there pretty much revolved around the dam. Red Leader was determined to finish it. He even wanted it higher. maybe in the future we'll be about to get more people, cause the place sleeps about 20, so we should be able to get it all finished.

some other things that we did included playing (or watching) the james bond monopoly. everyone had started drinking before they started playing so there were lengthy debates about stupid things, and amalgamations that weren't legal and things of that nature.

also, i managed to convince the Teen to take my car for a bit of a spin. we didn't get to go very fast, we didn't get out of first gear i don't think. but she had to reverse and she went quite well. only stalled once. and that was when we stopped. she just didn't have the clutch in far enough. but she still did well.

i forgot to mention that while we were out there, we had no phone signal, and there was no tv.
Red Leader brought his computer (not a laptop, his WHOLE computer) so we at least had music.

one of the days, we took a trip in to scone to pick up some other supplies. that was an alright drive. it's about 50 kms to scone from MB.

Red Leader and a few of the others decided to stay an extra day, but a the Teen had to fly home on the friday, we left on the thursday. Sasquatch came with us, as he lives not far from us. on the way back up the hill, there was a snake in the middle of the road so we stopped. Sasquatch jumped out for a closer inspection. the snake decided to warn him not to come any closer, and as Sasquatch turned to leave, it raised up and started swaying like it wanted to strike him. we called out and Sasquatch looked behind him and decided not to stick around. he scurried back to the car and the snake slithered off. we were informed that it was a king brown.

there was much giggling on the way back over the tops, as this time we didn't have Red Leader to find all the potholes for us. and with Jawsome driving, we of course managed to find almost every single one onteh way down. it was fun though. and it felt like he fixed my wheel alignment. lol.

once we got to the peak, it became very cold and misty. we slowed down a little to look at the scenery. i joked that i half expected a small dinosaur to come crashing out of the bushes beside us. it really did look very eerie.

we got to the last turnoff on the dirt road section. i nodded at Jawsome and motioned for the Teen to hold on tight. Jawsome spun the wheel and we drifted around the corner and spun a bit further then Jawsome expected. but there was heaps of room and no traffic. u could see for miles pretty much. oh, and Sasquatch went sprawling across the backseat. well, as sprawled as someone wearing a seatbelt could do anyway.

the rest of the trip was pretty uneventful. we stopped at the parent's again and gave them their chairs back, then Jawsome took Sasquatch home in Da Supra and Teen and i went on our merry way back home.

early the next morning i had to take Teen back to the airport in newy. another 2 hour drive. i bought her breakfast at HJ's. it was good. i will admit i was bummed to see her go. i wish i had more time to show her more of forster.

lately i've been doing some crafty stuff. i've finally painted 2 of those little canvas squares i bought whilst in adelaide in april. i still have 2 more to go. i know what i'm doing on the next one. it's going to be the southern cross against a navy background. the first one was emily the strange (drawn freehand thankyou very much) and the second was a pink superman logo against a black background. also drawn freehand. w00t for me.

ooh! the other day i was driving to coles to look for something crafty to do, when i stopped for traffic at the maccas roundabout. a motion out the corner of my eye caught my attention.

it was a huntsman. with a legspan the size of my hand. it was on my side mirror.

and of course, being summer, the window was down. it ran side, then onto the mirror, then inside again.

i was tempted to stall teh car and run outside...... but thought that would look stupid, not to mention possibly cause an accident.

i kept my eye on it the whole time and i reached down and grabbed one of my work shoes (knew i kept them in the car for a reason). i waited until it ran to the mirror again, then i smashed that little critter for six. i heard it plop on the median strip, and then i floored it and i will admit to speeding after that. i did 100 in the 60 zone down the road until i got to the coles carpark. where i promptly locked the car and ran inside for a bit.

u know when u get to that stage of terror where u feel like u could either faint, puke, cry or scream??

it was like that. and i was almost crying and feeling rather faint.

it was that big that i could see the hairs on it's legs. gross.

but on a lighter note, yesterday i paid a visit to the Light Twin (Jawsome's other sister) and we had a girlie day, just watching tv and doing some washing and cooking stuff.

we made apple and cinnamon muffins, a rich chocolate fudge, and Jawsome's fave, mini quiches. we wanted to make a double batch, but only had enough for a single. but it's ok. they were eaten within 20 mins of me getting home. but that's only cause Jawsome wasn't home when i got home.

and i believe that pretty much brings me up to date with everything.

except for me going to gladstone next week. i'm looking forward to that. seeing Glamourcide is my main non-family priority, but i'm also gonna catch up with the old school crew and we're gonna have lunch at maccas. cant' wait to see everyone's kiddies.

best part is when i give them back to their parents.... lol

MB pictures to come.....

just a quick note to get up to date......

well i now have a job. it's not much, but it's an income.
i'm a casual at coles, in the deli department. i hate meat, but the girls i work with are nice and some of them know how to have a bit of fun.

honestly though, i'm starting to not like it so much, and i've only worked a few shifts.
i came home the other day after just 40 mins behind the counter (i was out back doing some food safety stuff on the computer for most of my shift), and i was appalled at the fact that my hands smelled like prawns.

i could handle it if they smelled like the ham or even the chicken loaf. buuuuut nope. they smelled like the goddamned prawns!!!!! it's enough to make me gag.

so basically on my days off i'll be looking for another job. cause it's not like the boss is gonna move me to the checkouts. which is where i wanted to be in the first place.

and also.... i had to do some shopping recently for an outing this tuesday. yep, i'm off to taree to watch the cup on tv. but apparently we're going in the morning.....

and of course, i was told i have to dress up. and me being me, i have nothing nice to wear.
so it was off to the shops. and there's not many here.
eventually i found a skirt that looked really nice on the hanger, and one that looked ok on the hanger. when i tried them on, the one that looked really nice, looked crap on me. but the other one looked really nice on me, so i got that. all i had to do was find a shirt. and do u think i could find anything nice to go with it?? nope. so we went home and i looked in my cupboard to see if i still had a shirt i got ages ago and never wore cause it didn't fit right.

i tried on my little outfit at home, and surprisingly, it all went together quite well. i don't really have dressy shoes, but i'm just gonna wear my stockings and the pirate shoes. at least i know they're comfortable.

maybe i'll take some photos or something. no promises though.

It's the grooviest thing, its the perfect dream

so i'm sitting at home and i'm rather bored.... so i thought i'd blog. kinda pointless blogging without having anything to fill the blog with... but that's the way it goes some days i guess.

the past few days have been kinda strange to say the least.

Jawsome borrowed the latest season of house on dvd from his mum and had a marathon day on the weekend. maybe saturday arvo... i can't remember.

but either way, the 2-part season final.. yeah can't say i was a fan. by the end of the second part, i was pretty much bawling my eyes out. and i wasn't even watching all of it! and the worst part was that i really needed to pee, but i didn't want to get up cause i didn't want Jawsome to think i was crying again. but at the end of the episode, the loungeroom was dark, and i had tears streaming down my cheeks, and i just saw the top of jawsome's head pokiing up over the couch and beckoning me over for a cuddle.

"oh no", i says to myself. "he's totally gonna laugh at me".
i leant down for a hug and heard him sniffle.
it made me feel a little better, and also a little worse. i don't like the idea of seeing my guy upset at anything. it was odd. but it brought us a little closer. i got lots of cuddles after that.

on saturday morning, we went to inspect the markets. they were kinda pissy. like the sunday markets at kmart used to be. but i actually think these were a little bigger.....

after we wasted time adn walked to bilo to get some water, we went to the beach and walked out to the point and stood on the rocks. within a few minutes we were rewarded with a marvellous sight. fins breaking the surface of teh water. i've never seen wild dolphins before. only on tv. but there were about 10 of them. all just playing in the water. not jumping like u see on tv, but just casually poking their noses out of the water every now and then. it was so pretty. i think later this week i might go for a walk and take my ipod and just sit there and see if they'll be there again.

also, this week, so far i've made brownies, only a packet mix, but they still tasted damned good!

and today i made jelly. raspberry flavour. i might have a little bit before the boys get home.

hey i guess i've managed to make a post out of not much at all.

"the use of rhetoric to obscure a lack of content".
best line i've ever heard, and i use it frequently.

so until next time, in which i'll hopefully be able to dish out either some good goss or some good news!!

where did i put my spatula??

*wanders off*

just an update.....

just cause it's totally blog-worthy....

THE NEW BED ARRIVES TODAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

yeah i'm stoked. i'll actually be able to sleep good for once.

and while on the topic of sleeping, last night i had trouble sleeping, and i went to move, and i put my hand above my head, and hit Jawsome in the face... and he skitzed out big time. i ended up having to put my hand on his shoulder and tell him it was just me and apologised for whacking him in the face. he mumbled that it was ok and rolled over and went back to breathing heavily. and no, i don't mean snoring. lol.

in the morning, i again apologised for scaring him, but he didn't remember. he didn't even recall talking to me.

i smiled to myself and remembered Sunny on the couch that day during a discussion between Mutha and myself.

"mumblemumbleSEVENTYFIVE!!"

still makes me giggle to this day.

and still no luck on the job front, but i've applied for something that i actually would like to do, but i'm not gonna say anything more in case i jinx it.

there was something else i was gonna say... but i forgotten already... oh well. maybe i'll remember it and put it in the next blog.

farewell readers!!
(yes... both of you...)

gud eeeeevening

so i totally had a rough draft of what to write in here today all ready to go, but i re-read it and it sounded crap, so i'm just gonna wing it. it always sounds better that way anyway.

so i'm now living in a lovely little beach town. it really does remind me of gladstone and tannum. but way smaller. plus instead of pregnant teens, it's mostly filled with old people. Jawsome likes to call it God's waiting room. it's where they go to gather before they dieeeeeeee. lol.

the move went rather well. the only negative part was that i couldn't fit everything i wanted in the car. we had to leave behind the guitar, bass and amp. but at least the keyboard fit. now i just have to find my other piano books.....

as for the trip itself, we got up at 3, started packing the car, i went in and woke the children and said my goodbyes (i tried hard not to cry when i said goodbye to the Teen - yes, i'll admit that) and we finally managed to leave around 4.30. I drove the first leg and Jawsome went back to sleep.

our first stop was ballina for breakfast. it was marvellous. my hash brown was soggy and then the car didn't want to start. Jawsome was supposed to do the second leg, but the car decided to chuck the shits. so i had to pop the bonnet and wiggle the wires. it started. which was fine. then Jawsome and i continued on our little voyage.

i think the next stop was near coffs. i really can't remember. i had a bit of a nap at some point. but we stopped at a little servo, topped up the fuel even though it was only sitting near halfway (fuel economy is wonderful!!) and we grabbed some more drinks and munchies and i took over the driving again.

i think it was around 1 when we stopped at at Jawsome's parents' place for lunch. i was incredibly nervous for some reason. but it was all fine and dandy. apparently his family likes me. which is really good. made me feel better anyway.

not long after we arrived at the unit, we got a visit from one of Jawsome's mates, we shall call him Booms (yeah i don't know why either). He came to show off his new car and invite us to Newcastle for the night for much drinkies. it didn't take much the persuade us to go. Jawsome did the driving and we took the scenic way. we shall never take that way again. it's pretty crap. dirt road. lots of hills. yeah. need i say more.

but we stayed in newy for the night and got drunk. it was fun. i learned some drinking games.

speaking of newy, Jawsome is getting ready to go again tonight and i'm joining him. so i must bid thee all adieu and i shall fill u all in when i return. which may not be until sunday night. lol. yay!

ciao bananas!

Just an update...

So it's been months since i've blogged about anything really worthwhile...
so to keeps you guys up to date, here's a quick rundown on what's happened in the past 4/5 months....

The Green Guy (or TGG) and i were engaged for a while. about 8 months roughly. but that's since fallen apart. long story there. i don't know if i'll ever tell it here in full.

but anyway...

he got himself a new girl only weeks after he dumped me (that's the bit that i was most pissed off about). i'd seen her in his dance class too. and yeah i was totally jealous. she's everything i'm not. slim, gorgeous, dances well, gets along well with people.

yeah, as u can guess i was rather depressed. he'd replaced me with someone i could never even hope to be.

the dance crew made it to the finals of australia's got talent and i am so proud of them!

i went to melbourne for the filming of the semi finals. that's when i first actually properly met TGG's new girl. i shall call her Pixie.

i offered to drive her to teh airport, so we met up in teh city and went for maccas. we got to chatting about random things and then we discovered it was too late to drive, so we took the train instead. that was still fun.

the next day i flew down and pixie picked me up from the melbourne airport. we hung around the city and did some sight seeing and just enjoyed chatting about anything and everything. i love her. she is really an awesome girl.

once we got to the studio for the filming, we were both kinda tipsy (lol) and excited to be on a TV SHOW!!! *squeal*

we got to meet red and grant. that was so much fun. and when the boys performed we got up and screamed our little hearts out.

there was also a band that had entered, they unfortunately didn't make it through to the final, but u should check out their myspace : http://www.myspace.com/3stripeave

once we returned from melbourne, things took a slight turn for the worse for me.
seeing Pixie and TGG together made me remember that i felt so alone and that it wasn't fair that he'd found someone so soon and i still had no-one. so i kinda made a few mistakes.

long story short, i'm just glad that daddy had the strength to help me, when everyone else seemed stumped with what to do. i know i scared some people and i never meant for that to happen.

the way that i was feeling that one night, i'm pretty sure that if i was left on my own, my family wouldn't be complete anymore.
it's like i was stuck in a black hole. no light or hope could make it through. i just wanted it all to end. and i was on the brink of making one of the worst mistakes in my life.
and you know something's wrong when someone who's not into public displays of emotion or affection, actually picks you up off the bathroom floor and hugs you tight and doesn't want to let you go.
that took a lot to do, and that one gesture showed me so much love and caring. and that's what brought me back from the edge.

i started making more of an effort to be social and try to meet new people. i even drove 2 hours to attend an ex-boyfriend from highschool's birthday. which was totally worth it. it was out bush and i had the best time i had had in ages. there was a campfire going and music and a bbq. and i was the only girl game enough to go bushbashing to find more firewood. and i even had the bruises to show off afterwards.

i met some new people over the net, on facebook and myspace of course. and they were fun and nice. they took my mind off things for a while and i started cheering up again.

i had finally started to become my old happy self again, when into my life came the most wonderful guy ever.

Mutha has christened him Jawsome. and jawsome he is.

i've laughed so much when i've spoken to him. he is gorgeous and his personality is absolutely perfect.
i guess the easiest way to describe him (according to other family members) is me, but more laid back, and a guy (duh).

we like a lot of the same things. tv, music, life in general. and even the Teen has said we seem to be perfectly matched.

i hope so. i love him with all my heart and i'm hoping this lasts forever.

i'm moving down to NSW with him in a few short weeks. i'll keep you guys posted on how that goes. i'll have a fair bit more time to blog for a while, so i'll be able to put more detail in.

btw... the dance crew came 3rd in Australia's Got Talent, which kinda sucks.

also, TGG was in a motorbike accident last week. did a short stint in hospital but is out now. very bruised and battered, but it could have been a lot worse. his bike's been written off. apparently the only thing left worth salvaging MIGHT be the motor. if that.....

and i finish my traineeship on August 1. i have about 3 books left to finish. and in saying that, i should finish up and continue working on them so i can take the extra day off and stay with Jawsome for that extra 24hrs.

ciao bananas!!

workplace shenanigans...

so last night i took the teen to kfc at about 9pm cause i saw an ad and decided i wanted some...
and the cops had blocked off part of blunder road...
so we had to detour through the guts of inala to get to the kfc....
which was fine and dandy.

then we were coming back and i thought i'd go back along blunder road to suss out what happened...but no.. the cops had blocked off BOTH sides of the road..
so we had to do a Uturn and go back through the guts of inala.....
turns out there was a house on fire.

we drove past this morning and there were still cops and fireys in attendance.
the house was burnt to a crisp. apparently.
i couldn't see. i was driving.

and when i got to the office this morning, i was greeted by a workmate with "security is on the way, DS has had a fall".

"oh shit", i think to myself. not good.
she's almost 60.
turns out a huge huntsman spider had run across her desk and given her a fright.
she tripped over her chair and landed on her hip, and someone else thinks she hit her head as well.

she had a headache, couldn't see properly, and was in too much pain to move very far.
they managed to sit her on a chair untill security arrived. he tried to get her into a wheelchair, but she couldn't move for the amount of pain, and once she was moved, she had intense nausea. and her colour was way off. she had gotten worse. so an ambulance was called.

about an hour later, a cute guy in an ambo uniform walked in, followed by a REALLY cute guy in an ambo uniform.
the general office staff gathered around to watch and distract DS from being in too much pain while they stuck her with needles.

they gave her the magic green stick to help with the pain, and it was doing ok until they needed to move her. then, just as a precautionary measure... they gave her morphine so they could get her up.

by the time she was ready to be wheeled out on the stretcher, she was so far spaced out that it was actually kinda funny. she started waving like the queen and we all started cracking jokes to make her laugh.
one of the girls went in the ambulance with her to the hospital. this chick is a mad hatter, so we know she'll make DS laugh and distract her from being sore.

all in all.. an interesting morning. let's hope the rest of the day is just as fun.

ps.. they killed the spider....

pps.. the ambos were rory (the cute one) and wade (the really cute one)

there will be further details when i have more time, but for now i have to finish up my work for the day and move on to the last of my tafe stuff.

I HAVE 7 WEEKS LEFT!!!!

Lagees and Genklefins, She's done it again!

Last month sometime I was sitting at my desk, working (as any good receptionist should), when out of the corner of my eye I saw a poor, defenseless scaly breasted lorikeet rolling around on the road. Turns out the poor little bugger had flown into a car.

So I picked it up and took it to the vet school. Yay me. It was released a day or two after.

Now today, literally about 10 mins previous to my posting of this blog, i was playing a game working and i heard a loud THUD!

I looked out the window and saw 4 minah birds looking at me, and then to something on the ground out of my view and then back at me. I decided to investigate further...

Tromping through the garden (a regular occurrence for me) i was truthfully expecting to find one of the said minah birds rather groggy on the ground. But low and behold, after shifting aside some shrubbery (no herring involved), i found a little finch-like bird looking at me as if to say "help me". so i picked up the poor thing without any struggle, the minah birds protesting in the background. it sat quietly in my hands until i got it upstairs to the animal ethics office and into a box.

well, we've just let it go, cause it started to wake up and rustle around a bit. so that's a very good sign. we're a little worried cause it didn't go very far and i was able to pat it whilst it was in the tree, so we're thinking maybe either a baby or a pet? if it's still there tomorrow i'll try to grab it again and arrange to get it to someone to look after.

but anyway, it's not five past finishtime and i must be getting home to the family.

i love this feeling. so content with the knowledge that i have rescued a poor little bird from the jaws of certain death at the hands of a bunch of birds who could easily get their dinner from the bins near the refect.

One lump or two?

so today we were off to a good start. the traffic wasn't too heavy, it only took about 40 mins to get to work today. Teen made us giggle as we dropped her off at school. everything seemed a bit brighter than usual (i've been in a pretty dark mood lately. maybe when i work up the strength and courage i'll blog about it. but basically it includes heaps of stress at work, me being sick, and the ending of a relationship that's lasted for over 4 years. which is a pretty big deal at my age really. we were engaged and everything). let's see how long that good feeling lasts.

ok, so there's this old, almost senile woman that works in my office. i'm actually surprised she hasn't put herself through the shredder yet, she's that dumb. and we don't even have a shredder!! she does as little as possible and if she gets more than 2 things to do she says she's swamped and can't possibly do any more. really annoying. and sometimes i will stand in front of her and say something, and it's like it doesn't even register that i'm speaking. and she wonders why i never told her i was going for lunch and things of that nature. for this story we shall call her Dipshit. but anyway... let's continue...

this morning, Ipswich (another co-worker) and myself were having a whinge about Dipshit whilst standing at the copier, when we heard a clunk, a quiet shriek and a scraping noise.
we cautiously looked out the corner of our eyes and sure enough....... Dipshit was frantically clinging to her keyboard. Ipswich had to grab a book and hide behind it to stifle her laughter whilst i did the emo thing and hid behind my hair.
Eccentric (yet another workmate) heard her and so came around the corner to offer assistance. i looked and there was a puddle everywhere.... from the cords at the rear of the desk to the carpet in front. it looked clear so i thought it was water. turns out it was tea.

i guess we know who's desk is gonna be all nice and sticky for the rest of the day.... lulz.

in other news, yesterday whilst i was picking up Mutha from work, we were going home our usual way when i saw a rather strange sight. a volvo, much like mine, but with... (hold onto your hats kids)...... BLACK RACING STRIPES!!!!

he must have seen me pointing and giggling cause when he got closer, he stuck his hand out and gave one of those waves that aren't really a wave, but like a long distance nod of appreciation. kinda like how a motorbike rider will give an upward jerk of the head to another motorbike rider as if to say, "yeah. glad we're still here. i got respect for u."

anywho it was an amusing experience that kept us giggling until we had gotten way around the corner and onto the next street. fun times.... fun times......

a marathon post for a marathon day!!

So yesterday myself, Mutha and Sunny went to Movieworld on the Gold Coast for the whole double birthday thing (mine was yesterday, mums was sunday).

the trip down was tiring.... the wind kept trying to blow my car off course... and considering it's an old volvo (and bloody heavy to boot!!) it did a damn good job of making me wander across the lanes....

but we managed to arrive in one piece. got through the gate no sweat. I turned to Sunny and asked what he thought we should do first...
His reply? "if you ask me to decide anything today i will throuw up on you!"

Nice....

so we wandered around the corner and i stopped and squealed "THE SCOOBY COASTER!!!"

and i dragged them both off for their first scooby experience.

the line was very minimal indeed. pretty much straight on. Sunny and I in the front, Mutha in the back.

Sunny got a fright when something in the dark moved on his left side. Mutha was torn between giggling and being scared... i was just grinning like a loon...

there's one section where u go backwards and all i could hear was Mutha behind me going "oh...oh... OH!!! no!!!!!" etc...... and beside me Sunny screaming "ohshitohshitohshit OH FUCK!!!", which of course made me cack myself all the way down to the bottom of the coaster.....

after that we got some tasty cold beverages and i can't remember if we went to the wild wild west, or played the silly sideshow game first...

i think we did the silly sideshow game, and then the water coaster (we were at the front and got wet!! it was fun) and then we saw the police academy stunt show (i saw this guy in a ridiculous shirt walking in and sitting down and immediately picked him as one of the ones they pull out of the audience. and if not, then he had to be shot for wearing that shirt in public...) and it was very well done. i know they have most of the banter between the cop and the horrible shirt guy organised, but most of this one looked as if it was improvised. it was highly amusing...

but after that i think Sunny and I went on the carousel in the loony toons village... i went on road runner, and Sunny went on sylvester. Mutha sat under a tree and looked after our various junk we had so far accumulated...

after the carousel Sunny and I both dived for the loony toons river ride. it was amusing. Sunny got dripped on. LOL!!!

we also went on the road runner rollercoaster. now THAT was fun. too short in my opinion.

after that, i think we went for some lunch in the western area. i had a wrap and some chips and coke. Mutha had some chips. Sunny had some air and water (he's a plant doncha know?).

after a lovely lunch we watched some poor people try to win a prize by throwing a bouncy ball into a bucket. they failed. big time. the guy running the game was pretty cute (we were staring at him during lunch) so i thought i'd be game enough to make a dick of myself and have a go.

first ball bounced off what i thought was a toy shark and stuck in the bucket. nice landing indeed. second shot hit the sweet spot on the edge of the bucket and stayed in. i was stoked. third shot i didn't care about so i didn't really try. and i missed the bucket by a mile. oh well. i got a big, retarded, stuffed cow as my prize. it was the toy i was eyeing off beforehand anyway. so i was absolutely thrilled!!

after some wandering around and going on the dodgem cars, i think we eventually found our way to the shrek theatre?? the shrek in 4d movie was pretty fun, but the waiting in a stuffy, enclosed room was horrible. it was too long, that's for sure. it's the kind of hot and stuffy where if you have to wait longer than five minutes you start to feel ill.... TBH i felt more sick in that room than i did on any of the rides!!

we also got ourselves some icecream and watched the street parade. pretty cool indeed. the hostess' voice got a bit irritating after a while. too nasally and high. pretty outfit though. towards the end of the parade, they stop the floats and the characters get off and have a bit of a boogie. and shrek tried to steal my icecream..... now if it was shaggy or fred or even the cute ball-game guy ("what balls do you know of that don't bounce??" a classic line that he said which i will never forget!! XD), that'd be fine... but shrek????? ugh!

it started to rain a little so we found some shelter behind the icecream shop. Mutha waited there while Sunny and I had one last ride on the water coaster. of course, it started pissing down while we were running over, but we didn't care cause it was fun anyway...

and after that ride was over, we made one last dash for the scooby coaster. it was pretty much straight in again. it was almost five so a lot of people were leaving.

we got in the front of a carriage and took off. there was and asian couple behind us in the same carriage, why are asian women so damned whiny?? this one screamed like a wuss at every major turn. even Sunny was laughing at her, and that's saying something!!

after we jumped off and laughed at our photo (i forgot where the camera was and so i was making a strange face in the shot. i was making the pop noise that donkey makes in the second [?] shrek movie), we went back to Mutha and started to make our way out of the park. a fun day was had by at least myself, so i didn't care too much about the other two. i had fun and that's what counted.

birthdays rule!!

next year, i think it's seaworld's turn to put up with me for the day.....

counting down already. 366 days to go......

roflz....

>.<

*insert temper tantrum here*

ever get so pissed off at an inanimate object that you just want to get really violent? well this is one of those times....

i gave the usb to the doc to look at in linux.... and he has just brought back the patient and told me the diagnosis. "dead as a doornail". his words. thanks doc.

he says the data would still be there... it's just that the usb isn't going to power up to let me access it. and he finds it ironic that the old computer wouldn't let me access the usb ports at all. i wouldn't be surprised if it's made my usb sick or something.....

oh well.

dammit.... now i gotta go cruising the web for all my lolcats to replace them and whatever.

stupid friggin technology.

i have a headache....

EDIT- forgot to put in a naughty word.....

So Frikking PISSED Right Now!!!!!

So I was at toowong, getting coffee with Mutha and Teen, and everything was all fine and dandy..... until we were leaving the carpark.

Toowong shopping centre has this ridiculous ramp that leads from the roof carpark, down through the majority of the levels and brings you back out to street level.

Well we were cruising down said ramp, going fairly slowly, just cause the majority of people using the ramp are dickheads who speed up there and don't expect to meet anyone coming down, and what should happen but some wanker who wasn't watching where he was going! He was too busy staring at some other car which just turned into a parking space.

Now I don't know if anybody realises what happens when you take your eyes off the road, especially when you're on a tight curve, but yes, this asswipe ended up heading straight for me. He looks up and realises where he is, and the look in his eyes was a pure look of "oh holy crap i'm gonna hit someone!!".

Seeing that he was on my side of the ramp, what do I do but obey my instincts and jerk the wheel to the left. And thanks to said fuckwit, my car ends up connecting with the concrete pillar that is right next to the car. And of course, physics being physics and all, my car gets the absolute shit scraped outta the door and wheel arch. As in, the wheel arch is flat. As in, it looks like I never had a wheel arch to begin with.

Like I said. I'm pretty pissed at his. I kinda wished that he did run into me, cause then I'd do the stereotypical female thing and turn on the waterworks and start swearing at him and make him really uncomfortable nad embarrassed. I'm quite good at that.

We got Teen to wind down the window and stick her head out to check for damages, but she couldn't see anything. This may have to do with the fact that there is a metal strip that pokes out along the door, and I just assumed that it would've provided at least a small amount of protection. Never assume. It makes an ASS out of U and ME.

So I got to work and parked the car, checked out the damages and got quite a huge shock. Got to my office and had a blub. I know, I know, it's a car, who cares? But it's MY car. I've put a fair bit of money into it and I try to do as much as I can to my car, on my own, but of course I'm no mechanic. But the point is, it's my baby. Sure it's old and slow, but it's got personality. Even when I get a new car, I don't want to get rid of the Volvo. Cause it's my baby!! At least I know that when Teen learns to drive, it should survive.

I'll take pictures of my poor car and post them tomorrow... if I remember.... or if I have my cable.....

Well that's unexpected...

So, Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment today. Mother and I were shocked. If it was Britney, well, let's all be honest..... I don't think anyone would be surprised by that..... but Heath? Gosh....... it's like hearing about Steve Irwin all over again. I'm hearing it, but I don't wanna believe it..... Young people shouldn't die.....

But then again... he was almost 30...... and that is pretty old....

*runs away, ducking for cover..... fearful of whatever it is that the oldies try to throw at me...*

Discovered a really awesome website today

It's dedicated soley to bagging on those ugly plastic crocs that people wear everywhere.

I've even linked it to my page. The posts are often quite amusing.

Did u know they have a crocs store in the Queen St mall now?? I have plans for its demise. But it's a good thing I'm too lazy to actually do anything about it...

Maybe I should just get someone to throw a hissy fit in the store and embarrass as many people as possible in there?

meh. even that takes too much planning. and energy.

in lighter news, lukey comes to visit me tomorrow! he brings a smile to my hideously emo face.

and tonight, i have to drive out to whoopwhoop to get chris' car. and then drive all the way back home...........
i think i need some coffee.......

*wanders off to make a cup*

So I finally gave in...

Yes, I did.

Thanks mum, I blame you.
Your blogs are a source of ever-present entertainment for me, but then, I am easily amused....

Unfortunately, this blog has to be cut short. I must retire to bed. And turn this damned air con off.
*shakes fist at chris*
I swear he enjoys making me sick with his stoopid air con.

*wanders off muttering to self*
