well i am sure Mutha has pretty much been filling you all in on the gossip. but for those of you who might not follow her.....

ok so last post i think i had just moved back to brisbane from nsw.
well jawsome and i split, on good terms. it was really hard on me and i kinda shut everyone out for a while, but things are good now.

i got a job as a body piercer and moved back to my home town. gosh i missed this place. i may be mad, but this has always felt like home to me. i never wanted to leave in the first place.

anyway....

i found a new love whilst i was here. i shall call him Jew, as Mutha hasn't given him a pet name yet. and yes, he is jewish and proud of it.

we were together for about 7 months, but had a short split not long ago. i guess i was tired of things. i needed time to be me for a bit. that lasted a few weeks. we are now back together. my choice.

he has been my rock through some hard times. i am back on my mood stabilisers as things went downhill for me around february. i lost my house, my job and my nan all within 2 weeks of my birthday.

well, the lease ran out on the house we had and my housemate was moving into a place of her own and i couldn't afford to stay on my own. considering my work closed around the same time. pity. it was a nice house.

i am now living with Jew's sister. i have my own shed down the back. it's alright. the teen is currently sharing with me until we find other arrangements. it's weird cause we even have to share my bed. there is only one room. the kitchen and bedroom are all in one. luckily the bathroom is seperate.

i am actually in the process of designing a house i would like to have built. it's only a little cottage but it's cute. it has a large lounge area and a large bedroom. it still needs some tweaking. totally forgot to put in the walk-in robe. lol.

so i am currently at uni. not properly, but it's like a precursor to uni. it's called the steps program. it basically runs through the stuff we might have learned in senior school. it prepares us for proper uni. i am thinking of doing teaching next year. in the area of science. cause that's all i was really good at in high school. lol.

but in all seriousness, i really hope i can do well. i am just scared i will grow tired of it and drop out. i have already been thinking of quitting steps to get a full time job cause money is a big issue. my car needs fixing, i can barely afford rent at the place i am now, i need to get a computer for next year if i stay with uni. it's a lot to deal with. some days i feel like not getting out of bed, but i try to stay focused on teh end picture. it would be great if i ended up teaching at my old high school. what would i call the older teachers who were there when i was there? i would still be tempted to call them miss or sir. it would do my head in. lol.

i have to do a thing for steps called a heroes journey. it's supposed to catalogue our journey through steps. i have decided to do mine in the form of a blog. and it will be the raw thing. no editing. then i will provide my lecturer with a link to this blog and she can read my journey through here. i think it sounds like a plan.

soon i have to start my first big assignment. i have to do it on something current in australia at the moment. i am thinking of asking if i can do mine on depression. it's still a major thing in australia and i think the only reason you don't hear much about it is cause people still don't understand it. it's like austism. people think that someone who's autistic is automatically a retard. which is not the case. the teen and i were having a discussion about that this morning. we know a few autistic people and we actually recognise a fair few autistic traits within ourselves. to the point where we are actually questioning if we have mild autism or not. it would explain a hell of a lot. me not feeling like i can function well if there;s a change from routine, being stubborn when people tell me things that differ from what i know. just little things like that.

maybe i should see if i can study to teach children with a disability? then i could help with my cousins. =]

anyway, i have been sitting here for long enough. my Jew is waiting for me out near the bonfire. we are at the property this week. housesitting. someone needs to feed the pigs and the cows and the horses and the dogs. oh and the guinea fowl. and the chookens.

it's good to be back........

it's been some time since my last visit...

just been trying to settle in at the "new" house. and still trying to find a job. nothing as of yet, and i'm starting to get down about it. there's only so much rejection a girl can take.

i've just been job hunting and playing various games on facebook. farkle seems to be my current favourite.

but yeah.... i don't really know what else to update people with. not much happens when u don't have a job.

all i can really tell u is that i've put on weight and i got a new phone. so yeah. that is pretty much it.

i'll update again once something interesting happens.

i had a dream the other night......

First one I remember bits of for quite some time.

There was a lot happening. But I do remember feeling like I couldn't breathe, my chest was tight and I was panicking. Everything was moving like I was falling and I was facing towards the sky, as if I was laying on my back. I was trying to right myself and stop falling but I couldn't.

Then I looked up cause I heard a shrill bird shriek.

It was Fudge. It felt like she was coming to see if I was ok. And I remember looking up and smiling at her, and then I felt peaceful and everything faded to black.

i did some looking around on the net, and found some possible meanings for it all.

"Bird
To dream of chirping and/or flying birds, represents joy, harmony, ecstasy, balance, and love. It denotes a sunny outlook in life. You are experiencing spiritual freedom and psychological liberation. It is almost as if a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

To dream of dead or dying birds, foretells a period of coming disappointments. You will find yourself worrying over problems that are constantly on your mind.

To see bird eggs in your dream, symbolizes money.

To see deformed or odd birds in your dream,?indicates that you have a unique outlook and perspective on romance and love. The dream may also represent a lack of understanding in affairs of the heart.

Fall
To dream that you fall and are not frightened, signifies that you will overcome your adversities with ease.

To dream that you fall and are frightened, indicates a lack of control, insecurity, and/or lack of support in your waking life. You may be experiencing some major struggle and/or overwhelming problem. It may denote that you have failed to achieve a goal that you have set forth for yourself.

To dream that you are free-falling through water, indicates that you are feeling overwhelmed with emotions. You may feel that it is easier to give up, then to try to stay afloat or prevent yourself from going under.?

*For an in depth analysis, please see Common Dreams: Falling.

Window
To see windows in your dream, signifies bright hopes, vast possibilities and insight.?If the windows of a house is dark, then it indicates a loss in your perception or vitality.

To dream that you are looking out the window, signifies your outlook on life, your consciousness, point of view, awareness, and intuition. You may be reflecting on a decision and seeking guidance. Or you need to go out into the larger world and experience life. If you are looking in the window, then it indicates that you are doing some soul searching and looking within yourself.

To see shut windows in your dream, signifies desertion and abandonment.

Fear
To dream that you feel fear, indicates that your achievements will not be as successful as you had anticipated. You are experiencing anxieties in various aspects of your life. The key to overcoming your fear is to discuss them and deal with them openly.

To dream that you worse fears are coming true, signifies your resistance to change. You are afraid to confront the unknown aspects of yourself.

Scared
To dream that you are scared, indicates that you are experiencing self-doubt and feelings of incompetence in your waking life. You may be feeling a lack of control. Perhaps you are having second thoughts about a decision you have made. Anger often masquerades as fear, so also consider issues about which you are angry about in your waking life.?

Peace
To dream of peace and tranquility, indicates an end or a resolution to an emotional issue or inner conflict. It may signal and end of a cycle and the pause before the beginning of a new endeavor. It also suggest that you have reached a new level of stability and calmness. Alternatively, the maddening quietness may refer to the calm before the storm.

Helpless
To dream that you are or feel helpless, suggests that you are experiencing difficulties in confronting a situation or relationship. You feel that you are unable to take charge of yourself."

so basically from what i can gather, my dream is telling me that
- i have a sunny outlook on life and right now it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders because of a decision;
- i may be experiencing some major struggle and/or overwhelming problem;
- i may be reflecting on a decision and seeking guidance;
- i am experiencing anxieties in various aspects of my life;
- Anger often masquerades as fear, so i must also consider issues about which i am angry about in my waking life;
- the maddening quietness may refer to the calm before the storm;
- i am experiencing difficulties in confronting a situation or relationship.

and to me, once i sit down and think about all the stuff that's going on and coming up, it's clear to me what that dream was about.

and it's not a great feeling when the problems u thought u wouldn't have to deal with yet because you're still so far away from all the drama but the feelings and issues start invading your dreams.

so i know what has to happen. and as much as i feel bad for them, things have to be said, and action has to be taken. otherwise i'll do my head in and that means we'll be back to square one. back where i was before i felt like i had been reborn.

all i want is the strength to face it all and come out unscathed.

mum and i were talking on my last visit, and we agree i care too much about other people, and it's time i start looking after myself. i can't afford to worry about hurting or upsetting others. i have to learn to put myself first for once, and i have to lay it on the line and say it how i see it.

you were my best friend once, but you have changed. you've become a selfish cow and you take my family for granted. and your other half isn't much better. they've done so much for you and when you're asked to put in a little extra effort or you're asked to stop doing certain things because it makes people feel uncomfortable, you whinge and complain like a little b***h. and you DON'T even bother putting urself in other's shoes to think about how they feel about what you do. I DO NOT WANT TO FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE IN MY OWN FAMILY'S HOUSE!! you're too wrapped up in your own little world where u think everything's hunky dory. well let me tell u BUCKO, it's not. you've destroyed a good thing. and i hope you're happy. i don't even know if you read this, but if you do, it means i don't have to say it to your face, because if i do, emotions get in the way. and at least this way i get to say everything i feel without you interrupting.

it may sound harsh, but i've said a LOT worse about people. and this really needed to be said. as it is, there's is HEAPS more i could say, but i guess this is enough for now. because no doubt there will be talks/arguments soon, and i really don't know how things are going to go with that.

all i know is, i'm still not strong enough to deal with all the problems. it's not fair on me. i'm 800kms away and i still have to listen to all the problems! i just can't deal with it anymore and i just want it all to stop. and if that means sending you on your way, then i guess that has to happen.

i just want my family back. that's the bottom line. things haven't been good for a long time, and i just want the relaxed and happy feelings back.

i never realised......

how hard it actually is to eat mars bar slice when u have snakebites. specially when they decide to finally scratch u on the gums as u try to take a bite.

not fun.

hahahahahaha...... ow

So I thought I'd be good and go and get some exercise and rollerblade to coles to wait for jawsome to finish work. That's fine.

It's been ages since I last rollerbladed, and I forgot that jawsome's blades are top quality, not shitty little kmart ones like ours were.

I went downstairs to practice a few laps on the path. I never even got there. I rolled down one little slope (it's seriously fuckin tiny! Like less than an inch high...) and I went backwards! I came sooooo close to whacking my head on the concrete. I did manage to skin both palms and both elbows. I'm quite impressed with that. I took the blades off and went upstairs for panadol (I whacked my back pretty good too!) and to dettol my wounds. Yes guys, we actually have dettol. I'm glad I fought for that now.

And as for blading? Fuck that. I'll walk thanks. =/

hello post-easter crowd!

well it's been tourist season for the past weeks or so. and it's been shit!

luckily i didn't need to go anywhere last week. at some point there was an accident on the forster/tuncurry bridge and it was closed for like half an hour or more. there's only 2 ways out of forster. one is over the bridge. and the other way brings u out near bulahdelah. google earth it. it's like.... way far the wrong direction!!

we followed Big Red (first mentioned in the Moonin Brook episode...) through that back way once. it was dark. he drives fast. we lost sight of him. we had a mild panic at one moment cause we couldn't even see his lights ahead and it's a rather twisty and turny road. dirt too, i might add. it got to the point where we were keeping an eye out for a cloud of dust and skid marks leaving the road.

he was fine of course. we caught up with him once he slowed down for us. it took us about an hour before we finally got back out onto the highway.

aaaaanyway......

for easter, i got a dark lindt bunny on the friday, and i got a choccy egg on sunday. Jawsome gave me the bunny on friday cause he was working 7-4 saturday and sunday. he should get a decent pay this week. although that means i most likely won't get anything from centrelink. which is pretty suckful. and i'm still waiting on my rudd moneez. i have plans for that. i've decided i'm gonna cancel my glasses and just get them once we're in brissie. i have a bigger choice of frames as well in brissie.

so without getting the glasses, that leaves me with a bit more money for the move. i gotta buy the kids their plane tickets to come down so they can take one of the cars back, i can keep some for fuel now, and i can get my psp and some games, my disney dvds off layby, and i might be able to actually get my new ipod too! and i'll give the Teen my current one so Mutha doesn't have to worry about her nicking it anymore.

only thing is cause the old computer died without me being able to unauthorise it, there's only space for 1 computer after i take it off Jawsome's. but i don't think she'll mind too much. at least it'll be all hers and nobody will be able to take it off her. unless they steal it. which would be heaps shit. but oh well. won't be my problem.

ooooh i'm so excited. things seem to be coming along a little better now. poor Jawsome is getting a little stressed. the store he wanted to go to doesn't have the part time hours available for him, but they can give him a casual position. which will at least get us up there. then while he's not working, he can look for another job. and once i have myself a job, i'll be able to support him. i haven't heard anything back from any of the places i've applied at so far. but that could be causee my address on the resume is still NSW. once we move i reckon i'll have a better chance. i'm already gonna start putting the QLD address on it. so we'll just see what happens i guess.

oh and i've finally given in to the hype and i also have a twitter now. but i still don't really get it. it's like the facebook status thing. it's tiny. but i now have 2 people following me, and i'm following about 5 people. bunch of celebs.

i might go for a walk to the shops later. haven't done that in a while. and it's finally stopped raining. woohoo! i can see blue sky!

w00t for technology!

So I'm finally blogging from my hiptop. Yeah I managed to pay off my bill finally.

And I also put some dvds on layby. Disney ones in fact. I got pocahontas, robin hood, hercules, hunchback of notre dame and oliver and company.

Any copies of those that my family has are only on vhs and they're getting a bit old.. So I figured I'd replace them.

There's more disney dvds I want to get but they aren't available yet. So I'll just get them as they do become available. type='text'>and now for something completely random....

i went out to the kitchen to get something, i think it was my wallet..... when i saw a movement on the balcony. and we're on teh third story so it struck me as odd and i froze.

then when my brain switched on and registered what i was actually seeing.... i saw this:

so i got one of the apples we got in a fruit platter at the tavern and i cut it in pieces and sloooooowly walked out and opened the door and held a piece out.

one of the birds was a bit iffy to start with, but slowly reached out to grab the apple off me, but u know how they go to bite something that isn't really soft and they just knock it everywhere?? well it knocked it straight outta my hand and then looked at me as if to say "well.... u're the one who's gonna have to pick that up".

so i did.

then a bully one flew over and scared some timid ones away and then proceeded to trip over its own feet. i lol'd. but it knocked the piece as well. so i went to grab a fork to spike the apple so i wouldn't drop it but so the birds wouldn't bite me. but the inquisitive ones flew off and i was just left with 2 timid ones that looked too scared to even fly away.

so i just left the apple pieces on teh railing.

but that was entertaining for at least a little while.

just thought i'd put it up cause it reminded me of the times at the oooooold place when we used to feed the lorikeets. and one pooped on MOTH's head. i distinctly recall lol-ing at that too.<div way.

like, to the point where u look at them and think "what the hell went wrong with u??".

it's really sad cause they were once full of promise and a cheery, somewhat carefree person. and now they're basically a shadow of their former selves.

it makes me think back to all the fun times that were shared what feels like an eternity ago.

sometimes i wish time could be turned back. if i knew then what i knew now. i guess some things would be the same. but others would be heaps different.
My Sydney and Soundwave Trip!

recently i went to sydney with the twins and one of their friends for a music festival. i figured i should probz blog about it, as i promised a few people.

so, friday the 20th, we set out. myself, the twins, and their mum. we stopped at newcastle to pick up their friend. i shall call her Bubbles, cause she has a bubbly personality.

the drive down went smoothly, and we listened to Taylor Swift's album. we played Love Story at least 3 times, and the girls tried to convince me that a railbridge next to the highway was the harbour bridge.

once we got to the family friend's place, we were met by the girl's friend (i'll call her the Model cause she look like one) and her mum. it was Model's mum's birthday party that night. so we all got ourselves sorted and got ready for the party. i got to meet a few neighbours.

unfortunately i started to feel sick part way through the party, so i had a shower and went to bed. or at least i tried to. every time i fell asleep someone would make a loud noise and i'd wake up again.

the last time it happened, i woke up to aaron carter's I want candy. so i decided to go downstairs and attempt to be social for a while longer. i was expecting to see the girls dancing, but when my brain kicked in i actually realised it was mostly the older women!!!!

i stayed downstairs for a while and then actually got tired and went to bed. not long after, the girls were ready for bed too.

on saturday we all had a bbq breakfast and sorted ourselves out to go to the city.

we caught the train from blacktown to one of the city stops. and in sydney, the have double decker trains. i was confused..... i'd never seen them before. they were quite awesome though.

once in the city we started looking around at some of the stores. there was a supre one that was at least 3 floors!! it was massive! and they were having a sale so there was new stuff and old stuff.

we went into the queen victoria building and had a look at some of the shops in there. one of which was the Pandora store. all of us were pretty much drooling over half the stuff in there.

we did a lot of walking around in there and i wasn't feeling so great cause i was still slightly sick from the previous night (and i hadn't been drinking either so i dunno what happened) so we stopped and had a quick lunch and a sit down. i bought a bottle of water from maccas and felt a little better after that. of course we ended up going outside again so maybe being in the air helped a lot too.

oh i forgot to mention that we walked past martin place. that's where sunrise is filmed. next time i'm there on a weekday, i'm gonna be one of those dicks who stand behind the hosts and wave stupid signs. and justin agreed to do it too. so we'll see what happens next time i'm there. lol.

anyway, we walked all the way down the other end of the street and suddenly from behind a building, the harbour bridge popped into view.

we crossed a few roads and ended up near the ferries. the arcadia was docked there as well.

the girls stopped to watch one of the street performers (the guy with the ladders. i see it in brisbane everytime i'm there!) so myself and loz started walking towards the opera house. eventually the rest of the girls caught up.

we stopped and took a few pics, in which i didn't try to hide (yeah i'm shocked too). it was a little windy though so my hair looked crap.

we went for a wander up the steps of the opera house and had a look over the far side of the steps. there was a bunch of navy boats, and i even spotted kirribilly house!! w00t!! so don't say i don't appreciate culture. lol.

after we'd had enough fun cracking jokes about the fall out boy concert being moved to the opera house (cause there was a stage being set up near the steps), we went and caught the train to paddy's markets, then back to blacktown so the Model and the Dark twin could get ready for FOB.

Bubbles, the Light twin and myself managed to entertain ourselves while everyone else was out. i had packed my Tipayatung game i bought. it's kinda like SceneIt, but there's no dvd, it's just movie lines, normal quotes, and songs and u have to finish them off. one of the quotes we got was LET'S MAKE LIKE A SHEPARD AND... GET THE FLOCK OUTTA HERE.

we played it about six times. I won once, Light twin won twice i think, and Bubbles won the most. it was a fun game even when u're sober. we were cracking up a lot.

we all went to bed pretty much as soon as everyone else got home.

the next morning we were out of the house by 10am. we got to Eastern Creek and there were already heaps of people. or so i thought. the amount i saw was nothing compared to the amount that were behind us at about 1pm.
before....

after....

it took us 3 hours to get 150m and past the entry gate.

(this was after about 2 hours)

as a result i missed seeing my fave band perform, but I DID get to meet them at the signing tent later, and they were the sweetest kids ever. so tiny. such great smiles. like they were honestly happy to meet all their fans.

i got separated from the girls a few times at different points, but found each other again almost as quickly. we had our phones and whatnot.

the basic summary of that day's events are as follows...

1pmish - finally made it past the gate. i went and got my shirt signed by madina lake and got autographs for justin as well. then went back and found the girls sitting on the hill between stages 1 and 2.
1.40 - watched the subways on stage 2.
2.15 - watched forever the sickest kids on stage 1, and i actually enjoyed them. i must go look for them on myspace.
2.50 - listened to a bit of underoath, then went for a walk. just as i walked off, they played the 1 song i was waiting for!! walked past stage 3 where Saves the day were playing. got back to stage 2 just after underoath finished, the girls had moved way forward to get ready for red jumpsuit.
3.30 - i wandered over to stage 3 again to see hellogoodbye, but i got bored and went back to stage 2 and leant against the fence and watched anberlin on stage 1 (stages 1 and 2 were right next to each other).
4pm - red jumpsuit started and i was actually in a decent spot. could see them better than my camera made it look like.
4.40 - went and sat in the first aid tent for a bit cause there was no shade where i had waited for red jumpsuit. sometime after that i went looking for the girls and ended up sitting in the shade tent up from stages 1 and 2.
5.20 - bloodhound gang started on stage 2 and i could hear them play, but couldn't see as teh booze tent was in the way. some of their between song banter was actually quite comical. i went and found the girls sitting near stage 3. we listened to either funeral for a friend or rival schools. i can't remember. from here things kinda get a little hazy for me.
all i remember is waiting for new found glory, then as soon as they started, i got pushed, squashed, tripped, knocked flat on my back, stepped on, i remember getting kicked in the head, i curled up into a ball and prayed i didn't lose my phone which was in my pocket at the time, i remember kicking people, and i vaguely remember 2 sets of hands reaching down and grabbing my wrists and hauling me off the ground. i eventually managed to push my way out of the crush, found the girls, and started shaking and not quite breathing very well and feeling lightheaded, so i went straight up the hill to the first aid tent. the really cute guy looked at me and asked if i was ok and all i could do was shake my head and i nearly collapsed right in front of him. he grabbed me and put me on a chair and gave me water (which i them spilled on myself, i was shaking that much) and another cute guy came over and took care of me. he strapped my knee and ankle, and made me laugh cause he was telling me all about how to anchor the bandage so it doesn't move up or down, yadda yadda yadda.
i remember his name was will young. lol. i think he called the other guy simon.

i was in the tent for a while that time. i messaged the girls to let them know where i was and after i felt a little better i went out to find them, but they had come up to find me. by this time it was about 9pm i think. or sometime close to that. we wandered (or in my case, hobbled) over to stage 6, which was waaaaaay over the other side, and sat down to wait for From First To Last.

as soon as they finished we got up and left via the southern entry (right next to us). we had to walk all the way around to where we got dropped off (near the northern entry). pretty much as soon as we got in the car and settled i fell asleep. i woke up twice. once on the highway somewhere, and once just at the lights near the twin's home.

even though there was a lot of negative stuff that happened at soundwave, i would defs do it again next year. especially now that i know what to expect, and what to do and where to go.

the good parts were really really good. we even started chatting to randoms while in line. and the crowd started the bullshit/boring chant like at the cricket. it was great. i wouldn't recommend it to people who don't like crowds or waiting in long lines, or paying too much for things (i had to pay $2 just to get something signed, and i paid $7 for a hotdog with cheese, but at 9pm when u've had almost nothing to eat all day, u'd pay $100 for it. and it actually tasted good and it was hot!!!!!).

it took a lot out of me, but it's definately an experience!!
The Elder's Ricey Creation Thingy.....

now bear in mind that this feeds just me, sometimes i have it all in one sitting, sometimes i freeze some to cook another day.... u'll just have to judge the amount and adjust for what u need......

Ingredients:
1 cup rice
chicken stock
onion
minced garlic
coles mixed vegies
salt and pepper to taste
butter

Method:
make up chicken stock and cook rice in it using the absorption method.

while that's coming to the boil, chop up the onion. i normally only use about half, but if u like more or less u can adapt it.

add onion to saucepan, along with 1 tsp minced garlic.

once rice has come to the boil, turn it back to the low setting and let it sit for about 10 mins. i normally add a little bit of butter here to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the saucepan, but it can be left out.

after 10 mins, check on the softness of the rice. if it's almost done, this is the optimal time to add in the coles mixed vegies. i normally add about a cup to the saucepan, but once again, it can be altered to suit your tastes and amount. i like to have a good amount of vegies as it just makes me feel less guilty about not having proper meals more often.

mix the vegies through and let them heat up in the rice. if the rice is a little dry, add more chicken stock or just plain water. not too much, just enough to make it a little wet again.

once the vegies have been warmed through, it can be dished up. season with salt and pepper to taste.

so there ya go. pretty quick, pretty easy, and it's all done in one pot. it's pretty healthy and it tastes bloody good too!

plus i eat it with chopsticks, so it's also fun. and even Jawsome has commented that it smells good. so that's something i guess..... considering how much he hates vegies.

feel free to take the recipe and alter it to your tastes and throw in extra vegies that aren't in the mix. maybe even add in chicken or fish. it all depends on what u like.

have fun cooking!!
happy australia day-boxing day........

lol running joke with myself and jawsome. don't even ask.....

well the weekend passed in a bit of a blur. there was a workmate's belated 21st on saturday night. jawsome and i went to a mates first and started drinking with them there, and then we walked to the party cause it was only about 10 houses down.

got there and found out there was free booze. i dived in and nabbed myself a cruiser. and then found myself wandering off and chatting to people. i only do that when i'm drunk. lately i've just been really shy. it's weird.

but i digest...... *lol*

we looked up and these huge clouds started rolling over us really quickly, so there was a scurry to get tarps set up over the hired music gear. we got it up just in time. it came bucketing down. the tarps got weighed down with rain, i got soaked. laughing the whole time of course.

someone set up a spare tarp in the vacant lot next door, and they put morning fresh on it. of course jawsome had to have a go. he's now sporting a rather impressive grass burn on his hip.

after a while we decided to get some kfc. then jawsome wanted to go home and sleep cause he was working the next day. the rest of us got dropped back at the mates place to get more booze. as we stepped out of the car, i felt a slight pain in my ankle. then i realised i was on the ground. in a puddle....... in slight pain, but giggling my head off once i realised where i was sitting.

one of our mates went to bed so it was just 2 of us left. never thought i'd be the last one standing out of seasoned drinkers......

we staggered back to the party and sat some more and chatted to people. then we got bored and went back to sleep.

then sunday i gave the dark twin a manual driving lesson just around nabs. she was really really nervous, but still did well. she can drive, she just has to practice the starting and stopping and get used to using a clutch.

but if there was an emergency, she can now drive a manual. yaaaaaaay!!!!!

she was just happy that i didn't yell or get mad at her. i think i made her feel pretty much at ease. i even stepped out of the car and made her do it without me being in there with her. she even tried a 3 point turn on her own. took her a while but she did it.

we ended up taking light twin and their mum for a drive to maccas for lunch. there was a slight hiccup at a roundabout and she started to get flustered, but now she knows she can do it.

and yesterday.... we were back at our mates place and their nephew was there. he's such a cutie. so that's what i'll call him.

we took Cutie to the little beach at the end of our street and he had fun running around for a couple of hours. we each took turns babysitting him. jawsome and i took him for a walk while we went to check out canoe and kayak hire prices for closer to my birthday.

Cutie also became very well aquainted with a cute pup that was sniffing around near us.

after a while though, little Cutie started to fall asleep so we all went home and put him to bed while we drank some more and watched tv. and that was pretty much it for the rest of the night. i went to bed early cause i was tired and my ankle was still giving me hell. even now i have it strapped up cause it hurts whenever i walk on it.

so right now i'm sitting at the desk, my foot rested on the bed, listening to my various disney cd's. yeh.... i'm a freak. lol.

i also have my special ricey thing that i made. it tastes so good and is really easy to make too. i have to make it just for me cause it's healthy so of course that means jawsome won't eat it. i'll post the recipe in a fresh blog, so it's easier to find if anyone wants to try it.

but yeah that's about all i did on my weekend. and i got the battle scares to prove it. lol. yay! my first drinking-related mishap!! i'm all grown up!

oh and i also took skin off my knee......

I'M AWESOME!!!!
seems telstra's screwing a few people over...

must run in the family.

so my first hiptop started playing up on me. turning itself off after the slightest tap, losing all my messages and sometimes emails too.

so in november last year, i went in to the telstra shop with Mutha while we were out shoppinng. i arranged to get a new phone, but pay it off per month, same as my normal payments at the time. he set it all up and said that was fine and wouldn't be a problem. so off i skipped with a brand new shiny and WORKING hiptop.

so imagine my horror when in december, my bill arrived. $400+!! WTF?! so a few days after, i sat on the phone and made myself comfortable. made it through to someone who told me i was speaking to the wrong department, but they put me through to (apparently) the right one. someone picked up and took my information and listened while i told my story and they said that it was supposed to be looked after by another department (deja vu??) so they transferred me over. or so they thought. after half an hour of being on hold and going round in circles, i was cut off completely.

i uttered some rather harsh words and tried again. this time i eventually got put through to someone nambed gilbert. and yes, that's his name. i'm not hiding it. he was indian. so his real name probably wasn't even gilbert. but he listened to me ranting and starting to get flustered as this was the 5th time i'd had to tell someone my story. he said for me to sit tight and he'd have a look for me. and then nothing. no hold tone, no dial tone, no background noise. nothing. i sat and waited for more than 15 minutes, just in case that section didn't have hold music. but no. there was nothing.

so after the new year i shuffled off to the local telsra shop and told them of my issue. the store manager came and assisted straight away. they photocopied my bill and took notes and said they would try to get it arranged for me and they would give me a call. ok fine.

2 weeks later, i still hadn't received a call. so last week i went back in to remind the staff that my problem still existed (i had received another bill by that stage and the charge was still on it!). the guy i spoke to remembered "something being mentioned" - his words - about my case. he wrote a note for the store manager to find out some details, and once again i was promised a phone call. still nothing.

so today i tried to call the telstra shop at indro to get it sorted, as they're the store who arranged it in the first place. and all i got was the answering service. and they're not even closed yet!! fucktards.

so as soon as all this is sorted, looks like i shall be looking for another service provider. optus is looking pretty attractive right now. i might just go for a prepaid. i'm sick of the whole telstra bullshit already. i want to break something.

i made an official complaint to telstra about the handling of the whole thing. and i threatened to contact the ombudsman. cause there is no way in hell that i'm paying that $400 when i did NOT want my contract cancelled. and i told the telstra fella that when he was doing it all up. i told him that all i wanted was a new phone because my other one was faulty.

if it's not sorted soon, i may just have to take drastic action and threaten legal action. this is doing my head in. it's not good for my mental health or my physical health. i'm stressing ridiculously because my credit rating is going to go to shit after all this is over.

fuck telstra.
fuck them in their stupid asses.
- quotes jay and silent bob -

I SAY TO YOU GOOD DAY SIR!!
* throws tie across shoulder and storms off *

welcome to 2009!

so i've had this bloggy thing for about a year now. wow, how time does fly.

i hope all my readers had a wonderful new years. mine was alright. coulda been better, but also coulda been waaaaaay worse.

so i started the year with no income. i haven't worked since christmas eve, and as a result, i'm now in negotiations with centrelink to become a bum. still waiting on some paperwork from coles.

also, just thought i'd share this cause i thought it was funny, if not a little annoying....
went out the other morning to an appointment, and i noticed the fuel flap on the Volvo was open. so i turned the Cino around and pulled up right next to it and had a look. and of course, the fuel cap was missing. cause that's what everybody steals when they pass a car on the street without the lockable fuel flap. when i came home from my appointment i turned the Volvo on and checked the fuel gauge. they also managed to steal about a quarter of a tank of fuel. which i didn't really care all that much about cause i had a full tank from when we came back fom camping.

The Volvo had been out at Nabiac since we got back. it was only here for 2 nights before that happened. Jawsome bought me a lockable fuel cap yesterday. ha! i win!

been watching the news this morning (i remember when i thought the news was boring!!) and i've been listening to the reports of the american plane that landed in the river after a flock of geese flew into the engines.....

there was a comment on one news report that the FBI had said they don't believe there was any terrorist activity around it. but what they DON'T know is that the geese were actually trained as kimikaze pilots by al-quaeda. *grins like a moron*

so what did everyone get for christmas?? i got a decent haul this year!! i'm stoked!

i got a cheaper version of a flavourwave oven (it cooks most of the stuff that we eat so i'm happy!)
i got an electric mixer! very helpful for my other gifts....
a BOX of cupcake recipes and a cupcake kit with a silicone tray, recipe book and piping bag and tips...
hannah montana poster...
the knight's tale dvd... i was actually looking for a copy a while ago but didn't find one so i just left it. good thing i did!
i bought myself a board game. it's called tappayatung. it's like scene it, but just with quotes, songs and movie lines and there's no dvd....
i got various choccies and stuff
and one of the twins bought me this gorgeous little bracelet while she was at schoolies.
ooh! and i got a pandora bracelet too. it has a red glass charm and a frog (which Jawsome all chose for me when he bought it) and i got myself a princess crown charm a week later.
Sunny bought me an early gift. the Guitar Hero set for my DS. and the bag for it too. even Jawsome likes it.

the other day we went out on the boat with some mates to one of the islands around here adn had a bbq lunch. it was nice. a little sandy, but still nice. while we were cooking, i heard people making a fuss and i looked up and saw 3 dolphins just being lazy and swimming around and heading back out to sea. i managed to get a picture....

i could only just see them if i zoomed into the pic cause i had to use my hiptop. i left my proper camera at home. next time i go, i'm gonna remember to bring it cause that's twice now we've spotted dolphins when we're on the water.

well that's about all i can think of for now. the next time i update might be when we move. not certain what's going to happen yet. we might go to newy. more jobs there. which would be good.

before i go, i thought i'd share some more piccies of the prettyfulness that is forster.

time for a catch-up? get comfy, it's big.

i figure it's been over a month since my last post. and since the laptop's been fixed (again) i really have no excuse.

u may wonder what i've been up to in the past month.
the main things i've done include a trip up to brisbane to visit the family, Jawsome bought a car while we were up there. there was a heap of running around to go with that, but eventually (after an extra day) it was finished and we could drive it back home.

we left brissie about 4pm. got back home at about 1.30/2am. and then i had to work 9-6 that day.
yeah i was so wrecked. took me a week to catch up on sleep.

the next weekend, the Teen arrived. i picked up the Dark Twin (one of Jawsome's sisters) and we headed off to the airport, which is a good 2 hr drive away. luckily i got to take the new car, or as we like to call it, Da Supra. with emphasis on "Da".

the Teen looked as if she was going to fall asleep on the way home. which is funny cause there's not much room in the back of Da Supra. and now that i think of it, Jawsome has named Da Supra. i can't exactly remember what he's called it. it's some old fashioned name. him and the Housemate have a list of really awesome old people names. like mavis, daisy, pearl, gertrude, etc.
yeah, they have a whole list. it's funny some of the ones they come up with. but he's called Da Supra one of those names.

anyway, back to my story......

so the Teen arrived on the saturday, that afternoon we got dragged off to play with Jawsome's family. he doesn't get to see them all very often, so it was an early christmas. and even Teen and myself got a little something. she got licorice and i got a jar of bo-peeps. i was set. Teen learned how to peel prawns. she was quite pleased with herself. and the family got her to take the family happy snaps. which i had to be in. i hate photos.

on the tuesday, we went off to Jawsome's parent's place to await the arrival of Jawsome and one of his mates. we left Da Supra at the parents and all piled into my Shitbox and started on our merry journey to Moonin Brook.

we met up with a motley crew of Jawsome's mates who now reside in newcastle. they had brought a total of 3 cars, making us now a 4 car convoy. many jokes were cracked about big rigs and the red leader.

to get to MB, we had to go over the barrington tops. in winter, it snows. and i found out after we had returned, that it had in fact snowed the weekend before we set out. which is odd cause it was late november at this stage.

i'll be able to post some pics i took along the way once i finish this post.

Jawsome took over the driving from glouster as apparently it was mostly dirt, and very steep. and he had been going to MB since he was 13.

it was a fairly hard drive. we had to stop part way to let out brakes cool down. and it wasn't just us. the whole convoy had hot brakes. so we stopped for about 5 mins and just had a big laugh about everything and cracked some more big rig jokes. there were 5 guys and 4 girls at this stage. so go figure.....

once we got over the first set of hills it was smooth sailing for a while. then the car in front of us stopped, his engine was getting too hot. the guy behind us drove like a grannie so it was up to us to chase down the first car (we shall call him Red Leader, purely because he was, in fact, driving a red VW golf, and he was in front....) and told him of the situation. it took us about 5 mins to catch up to him. and considering it was all uphill and we were in my shitbox, it was a pretty impressive effort. and my engine temp mever got hotter than halfway. take that 6cyl ford!!!

we stopped and chatted with Red Leader for probably about 10/15mins, and then the others caught up to us, and we set off on our final leg of the journey.

there were so many shenanigans on the way that i can't even begin to type them. one such shenanigan involved Jawsome's mate travelling with us (we'll call him Sasquatch cause he's bloody tall!!!) almost going through the back of my seat cause Jawsome was being silly. we had to dodge soooo many potholes that it ended up being a game. but we did have Red Leader in front, going through all the potholes, so we just kept an eye on him and dodged the ones he hit.

when we finally got to MB, we unpacked the cars, chose our rooms and put the food and drinks in the fridge.

there were 3 rooms in the main house, with a double bed and a single in each, and the outside room had about 10 bunks.

we were told it was a old schoolhouse. Teen and i stood inside the old schoolroom (with the bunks) and we both revealed later that we both had a weird feeling about that particular place. the main house felt fine, but the bunkroom jsut felt odd. once Teen posted pictures of it on her myspace, she got a message from my best mate, Glamourcide. turns out she'd had a dream about that place (she's never been outside QLD) and she was in the bunk room and it felt bad and she woke up in a cold sweat. it's pretty freaky when that shit happens. cause i had a dream where something happened to her but she was pregnant at the time. turns out she was, but hadn't told anybody. lol. she was pretty spooked when i told her.

but anyway........

within half an hour of arriving, the boys set off to work. about 100m from the main house is the brook itself. and over previous years, the kids had started to build a dam everytime they went.
this time though, there were about 6 people working on it. and by the 2nd day, they had made it to the middle. they've never managed to do that before. i even helped. it was bloody cold! and the rocks were heavy, but it was still fun.

the entire time there pretty much revolved around the dam. Red Leader was determined to finish it. He even wanted it higher. maybe in the future we'll be about to get more people, cause the place sleeps about 20, so we should be able to get it all finished.

some other things that we did included playing (or watching) the james bond monopoly. everyone had started drinking before they started playing so there were lengthy debates about stupid things, and amalgamations that weren't legal and things of that nature.

also, i managed to convince the Teen to take my car for a bit of a spin. we didn't get to go very fast, we didn't get out of first gear i don't think. but she had to reverse and she went quite well. only stalled once. and that was when we stopped. she just didn't have the clutch in far enough. but she still did well.

i forgot to mention that while we were out there, we had no phone signal, and there was no tv.
Red Leader brought his computer (not a laptop, his WHOLE computer) so we at least had music.

one of the days, we took a trip in to scone to pick up some other supplies. that was an alright drive. it's about 50 kms to scone from MB.

Red Leader and a few of the others decided to stay an extra day, but a the Teen had to fly home on the friday, we left on the thursday. Sasquatch came with us, as he lives not far from us. on the way back up the hill, there was a snake in the middle of the road so we stopped. Sasquatch jumped out for a closer inspection. the snake decided to warn him not to come any closer, and as Sasquatch turned to leave, it raised up and started swaying like it wanted to strike him. we called out and Sasquatch looked behind him and decided not to stick around. he scurried back to the car and the snake slithered off. we were informed that it was a king brown.

there was much giggling on the way back over the tops, as this time we didn't have Red Leader to find all the potholes for us. and with Jawsome driving, we of course managed to find almost every single one onteh way down. it was fun though. and it felt like he fixed my wheel alignment. lol.

once we got to the peak, it became very cold and misty. we slowed down a little to look at the scenery. i joked that i half expected a small dinosaur to come crashing out of the bushes beside us. it really did look very eerie.

we got to the last turnoff on the dirt road section. i nodded at Jawsome and motioned for the Teen to hold on tight. Jawsome spun the wheel and we drifted around the corner and spun a bit further then Jawsome expected. but there was heaps of room and no traffic. u could see for miles pretty much. oh, and Sasquatch went sprawling across the backseat. well, as sprawled as someone wearing a seatbelt could do anyway.

the rest of the trip was pretty uneventful. we stopped at the parent's again and gave them their chairs back, then Jawsome took Sasquatch home in Da Supra and Teen and i went on our merry way back home.

early the next morning i had to take Teen back to the airport in newy. another 2 hour drive. i bought her breakfast at HJ's. it was good. i will admit i was bummed to see her go. i wish i had more time to show her more of forster.

lately i've been doing some crafty stuff. i've finally painted 2 of those little canvas squares i bought whilst in adelaide in april. i still have 2 more to go. i know what i'm doing on the next one. it's going to be the southern cross against a navy background. the first one was emily the strange (drawn freehand thankyou very much) and the second was a pink superman logo against a black background. also drawn freehand. w00t for me.

ooh! the other day i was driving to coles to look for something crafty to do, when i stopped for traffic at the maccas roundabout. a motion out the corner of my eye caught my attention.

it was a huntsman. with a legspan the size of my hand. it was on my side mirror.

and of course, being summer, the window was down. it ran side, then onto the mirror, then inside again.

i was tempted to stall teh car and run outside...... but thought that would look stupid, not to mention possibly cause an accident.

i kept my eye on it the whole time and i reached down and grabbed one of my work shoes (knew i kept them in the car for a reason). i waited until it ran to the mirror again, then i smashed that little critter for six. i heard it plop on the median strip, and then i floored it and i will admit to speeding after that. i did 100 in the 60 zone down the road until i got to the coles carpark. where i promptly locked the car and ran inside for a bit.

u know when u get to that stage of terror where u feel like u could either faint, puke, cry or scream??

it was like that. and i was almost crying and feeling rather faint.

it was that big that i could see the hairs on it's legs. gross.

but on a lighter note, yesterday i paid a visit to the Light Twin (Jawsome's other sister) and we had a girlie day, just watching tv and doing some washing and cooking stuff.

we made apple and cinnamon muffins, a rich chocolate fudge, and Jawsome's fave, mini quiches. we wanted to make a double batch, but only had enough for a single. but it's ok. they were eaten within 20 mins of me getting home. but that's only cause Jawsome wasn't home when i got home.

and i believe that pretty much brings me up to date with everything.

except for me going to gladstone next week. i'm looking forward to that. seeing Glamourcide is my main non-family priority, but i'm also gonna catch up with the old school crew and we're gonna have lunch at maccas. cant' wait to see everyone's kiddies.

best part is when i give them back to their parents.... lol

MB pictures to come.....

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wisewordsfromtheelder.blogspot.com/2008/12/time-for-catch-up-get-comfy-its-big.html' title='time for a catch-up? nope. so we went home and i looked in my cupboard to see if i still had a shirt i got ages ago and never wore cause it didn't fit right.

i tried on my little outfit at home, and surprisingly, it all went together quite well. i don't really have dressy shoes, but i'm just gonna wear my stockings and the pirate shoes. at least i know they're comfortable.

maybe i'll take some photos or something. no promises though.

It's the grooviest thing, its the perfect dream

so i'm sitting at home and i'm rather bored.... so i thought i'd blog. kinda pointless blogging without having anything to fill the blog with... but that's the way it goes some days i guess.

the past few days have been kinda strange to say the least.

Jawsome borrowed the latest season of house on dvd from his mum and had a marathon day on the weekend. maybe saturday arvo... i can't remember.

but either way, the 2-part season final.. yeah can't say i was a fan. by the end of the second part, i was pretty much bawling my eyes out. and i wasn't even watching all of it! and the worst part was that i really needed to pee, but i didn't want to get up cause i didn't want Jawsome to think i was crying again. but at the end of the episode, the loungeroom was dark, and i had tears streaming down my cheeks, and i just saw the top of jawsome's head pokiing up over the couch and beckoning me over for a cuddle.

"oh no", i says to myself. "he's totally gonna laugh at me".
i leant down for a hug and heard him sniffle.
it made me feel a little better, and also a little worse. i don't like the idea of seeing my guy upset at anything. it was odd. but it brought us a little closer. i got lots of cuddles after that.

on saturday morning, we went to inspect the markets. they were kinda pissy. like the sunday markets at kmart used to be. but i actually think these were a little bigger.....

after we wasted time adn walked to bilo to get some water, we went to the beach and walked out to the point and stood on the rocks. within a few minutes we were rewarded with a marvellous sight. fins breaking the surface of teh water. i've never seen wild dolphins before. only on tv. but there were about 10 of them. all just playing in the water. not jumping like u see on tv, but just casually poking their noses out of the water every now and then. it was so pretty. i think later this week i might go for a walk and take my ipod and just sit there and see if they'll be there again.

also, this week, so far i've made brownies, only a packet mix, but they still tasted damned good!

and today i made jelly. raspberry flavour. i might have a little bit before the boys get home.

hey i guess i've managed to make a post out of not much at all.

"the use of rhetoric to obscure a lack of content".
best line i've ever heard, and i use it frequently.

so until next time, in which i'll hopefully be able to dish out either some good goss or some good news!!

where did i put my spatula??

*wanders off*<div i'm stoked. i'll actually be able to sleep good for once.

and while on the topic of sleeping, last night i had trouble sleeping, and i went to move, and i put my hand above my head, and hit Jawsome in the face... and he skitzed out big time. i ended up having to put my hand on his shoulder and tell him it was just me and apologised for whacking him in the face. he mumbled that it was ok and rolled over and went back to breathing heavily. and no, i don't mean snoring. lol.

in the morning, i again apologised for scaring him, but he didn't remember. he didn't even recall talking to me.

i smiled to myself and remembered Sunny on the couch that day during a discussion between Mutha and myself.

gud eeeeevening

so i totally had a rough draft of what to write in here today all ready to go, but i re-read it and it sounded crap, so i'm just gonna wing it. it always sounds better that way anyway.

so i'm now living in a lovely little beach town. it really does remind me of gladstone and tannum. but way smaller. plus instead of pregnant teens, it's mostly filled with old people. Jawsome likes to call it God's waiting room. it's where they go to gather before they dieeeeeeee. lol.

the move went rather well. the only negative part was that i couldn't fit everything i wanted in the car. we had to leave behind the guitar, bass and amp. but at least the keyboard fit. now i just have to find my other piano books.....

as for the trip itself, we got up at 3, started packing the car, i went in and woke the children and said my goodbyes (i tried hard not to cry when i said goodbye to the Teen - yes, i'll admit that) and we finally managed to leave around 4.30. I drove the first leg and Jawsome went back to sleep.

our first stop was ballina for breakfast. it was marvellous. my hash brown was soggy and then the car didn't want to start. Jawsome was supposed to do the second leg, but the car decided to chuck the shits. so i had to pop the bonnet and wiggle the wires. it started. which was fine. then Jawsome and i continued on our little voyage.

i think the next stop was near coffs. i really can't remember. i had a bit of a nap at some point. but we stopped at a little servo, topped up the fuel even though it was only sitting near halfway (fuel economy is wonderful!!) and we grabbed some more drinks and munchies and i took over the driving again.

i think it was around 1 when we stopped at at Jawsome's parents' place for lunch. i was incredibly nervous for some reason. but it was all fine and dandy. apparently his family likes me. which is really good. made me feel better anyway.

not long after we arrived at the unit, we got a visit from one of Jawsome's mates, we shall call him Booms (yeah i don't know why either). He came to show off his new car and invite us to Newcastle for the night for much drinkies. it didn't take much the persuade us to go. Jawsome did the driving and we took the scenic way. we shall never take that way again. it's pretty crap. dirt road. lots of hills. yeah. need i say more.

but we stayed in newy for the night and got drunk. it was fun. i learned some drinking games.

speaking of newy, Jawsome is getting ready to go again tonight and i'm joining him. so i must bid thee all adieu and i shall fill u all in when i return. which may not be until sunday night. lol. yay!

ciao bananas!
Just an update...

So it's been months since i've blogged about anything really worthwhile...
so to keeps you guys up to date, here's a quick rundown on what's happened in the past 4/5 months....

The Green Guy (or TGG) and i were engaged for a while. about 8 months roughly. but that's since fallen apart. long story there. i don't know if i'll ever tell it here in full.

but anyway...

he got himself a new girl only weeks after he dumped me (that's the bit that i was most pissed off about). i'd seen her in his dance class too. and yeah i was totally jealous. she's everything i'm not. slim, gorgeous, dances well, gets along well with people.

yeah, as u can guess i was rather depressed. he'd replaced me with someone i could never even hope to be.

the dance crew made it to the finals of australia's got talent and i am so proud of them!

i went to melbourne for the filming of the semi finals. that's when i first actually properly met TGG's new girl. i shall call her Pixie.

i offered to drive her to teh airport, so we met up in teh city and went for maccas. we got to chatting about random things and then we discovered it was too late to drive, so we took the train instead. that was still fun.

the next day i flew down and pixie picked me up from the melbourne airport. we hung around the city and did some sight seeing and just enjoyed chatting about anything and everything. i love her. she is really an awesome girl.

once we got to the studio for the filming, we were both kinda tipsy (lol) and excited to be on a TV SHOW!!! *squeal*

we got to meet red and grant. that was so much fun. and when the boys performed we got up and screamed our little hearts out.

there was also a band that had entered, they unfortunately didn't make it through to the final, but u should check out their myspace :

once we returned from melbourne, things took a slight turn for the worse for me.
seeing Pixie and TGG together made me remember that i felt so alone and that it wasn't fair that he'd found someone so soon and i still had no-one. so i kinda made a few mistakes.

long story short, i'm just glad that daddy had the strength to help me, when everyone else seemed stumped with what to do. i know i scared some people and i never meant for that to happen.

the way that i was feeling that one night, i'm pretty sure that if i was left on my own, my family wouldn't be complete anymore.
it's like i was stuck in a black hole. no light or hope could make it through. i just wanted it all to end. and i was on the brink of making one of the worst mistakes in my life.
and you know something's wrong when someone who's not into public displays of emotion or affection, actually picks you up off the bathroom floor and hugs you tight and doesn't want to let you go.
that took a lot to do, and that one gesture showed me so much love and caring. and that's what brought me back from the edge.

i started making more of an effort to be social and try to meet new people. i even drove 2 hours to attend an ex-boyfriend from highschool's birthday. which was totally worth it. it was out bush and i had the best time i had had in ages. there was a campfire going and music and a bbq. and i was the only girl game enough to go bushbashing to find more firewood. and i even had the bruises to show off afterwards.

i met some new people over the net, on facebook and myspace of course. and they were fun and nice. they took my mind off things for a while and i started cheering up again.

i had finally started to become my old happy self again, when into my life came the most wonderful guy ever.

Mutha has christened him Jawsome. and jawsome he is.

i've laughed so much when i've spoken to him. he is gorgeous and his personality is absolutely perfect.
i guess the easiest way to describe him (according to other family members) is me, but more laid back, and a guy (duh).

we like a lot of the same things. tv, music, life in general. and even the Teen has said we seem to be perfectly matched.

i hope so. i love him with all my heart and i'm hoping this lasts forever.

i'm moving down to NSW with him in a few short weeks. i'll keep you guys posted on how that goes. i'll have a fair bit more time to blog for a while, so i'll be able to put more detail in.

btw... the dance crew came 3rd in Australia's Got Talent, which kinda sucks.

also, TGG was in a motorbike accident last week. did a short stint in hospital but is out now. very bruised and battered, but it could have been a lot worse. his bike's been written off. apparently the only thing left worth salvaging MIGHT be the motor. if that.....

and i finish my traineeship on August 1. i have about 3 books left to finish. and in saying that, i should finish up and continue working on them so i can take the extra day off and stay with Jawsome for that extra 24hrs.

ciao bananas!!

workplace shenanigans...

so last night i took the teen to kfc at about 9pm cause i saw an ad and decided i wanted some...
and the cops had blocked off part of blunder road...
so we had to detour through the guts of inala to get to the kfc....
which was fine and dandy.

then we were coming back and i thought i'd go back along blunder road to suss out what happened...but no.. the cops had blocked off BOTH sides of the road..
so we had to do a Uturn and go back through the guts of inala.....
turns out there was a house on fire.

we drove past this morning and there were still cops and fireys in attendance.
the house was burnt to a crisp. apparently.
i couldn't see. i was driving.

and when i got to the office this morning, i was greeted by a workmate with "security is on the way, DS has had a fall".

"oh shit", i think to myself. not good.
she's almost 60.
turns out a huge huntsman spider had run across her desk and given her a fright.
she tripped over her chair and landed on her hip, and someone else thinks she hit her head as well.

she had a headache, couldn't see properly, and was in too much pain to move very far.
they managed to sit her on a chair untill security arrived. he tried to get her into a wheelchair, but she couldn't move for the amount of pain, and once she was moved, she had intense nausea. and her colour was way off. she had gotten worse. so an ambulance was called.

about an hour later, a cute guy in an ambo uniform walked in, followed by a REALLY cute guy in an ambo uniform.
the general office staff gathered around to watch and distract DS from being in too much pain while they stuck her with needles.

they gave her the magic green stick to help with the pain, and it was doing ok until they needed to move her. then, just as a precautionary measure... they gave her morphine so they could get her up.

by the time she was ready to be wheeled out on the stretcher, she was so far spaced out that it was actually kinda funny. she started waving like the queen and we all started cracking jokes to make her laugh.
one of the girls went in the ambulance with her to the hospital. this chick is a mad hatter, so we know she'll make DS laugh and distract her from being sore.

all in all.. an interesting morning. let's hope the rest of the day is just as fun.

ps.. they killed the spider....

pps.. the ambos were rory (the cute one) and wade (the really cute one)
<img width='1' height='1' Turns out the poor little bugger had flown into a car.

So I picked it up and took it to the vet school. Yay me. It was released a day or two after.

Now today, literally about 10 mins previous to my posting of this blog, i was <s>playing a game</s> working and i heard a loud THUD!

I looked out the window and saw 4 minah birds looking at me, and then to something on the ground out of my view and then back at me. I decided to investigate further...

Tromping through the garden (a regular occurrence for me) i was truthfully expecting to find one of the said minah birds rather groggy on the ground. But low and behold, after shifting aside some shrubbery (no herring involved), i found a little finch-like bird looking at me as if to say "help me". so i picked up the poor thing without any struggle, the minah birds protesting in the background. it sat quietly in my hands until i got it upstairs to the animal ethics office and into a box.

well, we've just let it go, cause it started to wake up and rustle around a bit. so that's a very good sign. we're a little worried cause it didn't go very far and i was able to pat it whilst it was in the tree, so we're thinking maybe either a baby or a pet? if it's still there tomorrow i'll try to grab it again and arrange to get it to someone to look after.

but anyway, it's not five past finishtime and i must be getting home to the family.

i love this feeling. so content with the knowledge that i have rescued a poor little bird from the jaws of certain death at the hands of a bunch of birds who could easily get their dinner from the bins near the refect.

One lump or two?

so today we were off to a good start. the traffic wasn't too heavy, it only took about 40 mins to get to work today. Teen made us giggle as we dropped her off at school. everything seemed a bit brighter than usual (i've been in a pretty dark mood lately. maybe when i work up the strength and courage i'll blog about it. but basically it includes heaps of stress at work, me being sick, and the ending of a relationship that's lasted for over 4 years. which is a pretty big deal at my age really. we were engaged and everything). let's see how long that good feeling lasts.

ok, so there's this old, almost senile woman that works in my office. i'm actually surprised she hasn't put herself through the shredder yet, she's that dumb. and we don't even have a shredder!! she does as little as possible and if she gets more than 2 things to do she says she's swamped and can't possibly do any more. really annoying. and sometimes i will stand in front of her and say something, and it's like it doesn't even register that i'm speaking. and she wonders why i never told her i was going for lunch and things of that nature. for this story we shall call her Dipshit. but anyway... let's continue...

this morning, Ipswich (another co-worker) and myself were having a whinge about Dipshit whilst standing at the copier, when we heard a clunk, a quiet shriek and a scraping noise.

we cautiously looked out the corner of our eyes and sure enough....... Dipshit was frantically clinging to her keyboard. Ipswich had to grab a book and hide behind it to stifle her laughter whilst i did the emo thing and hid behind my hair.

Eccentric (yet another workmate) heard her and so came around the corner to offer assistance. i looked and there was a puddle everywhere.... from the cords at the rear of the desk to the carpet in front. it looked clear so i thought it was water. turns out it was tea.

i guess we know who's desk is gonna be all nice and sticky for the rest of the day.... lulz.

in other news, yesterday whilst i was picking up Mutha from work, we were going home our usual way when i saw a rather strange sight. a volvo, much like mine, but with... (hold onto your hats kids)...... BLACK RACING STRIPES!!!!

he must have seen me pointing and giggling cause when he got closer, he stuck his hand out and gave one of those waves that aren't really a wave, but like a long distance nod of appreciation. kinda like how a motorbike rider will give an upward jerk of the head to another motorbike rider as if to say, "yeah. glad we're still here. i got respect for u."

anywho it was an amusing experience that kept us giggling until we had gotten way around the corner and onto the next street. fun times.... fun times......

a marathon post for a marathon day!!

So yesterday myself, Mutha and Sunny went to Movieworld on the Gold Coast for the whole double birthday thing (mine was yesterday, mums was sunday).

the trip down was tiring.... the wind kept trying to blow my car off course... and considering it's an old volvo (and bloody heavy to boot!!) it did a damn good job of making me wander across the lanes....

but we managed to arrive in one piece. got through the gate no sweat. I turned to Sunny and asked what he thought we should do first...
His reply? "if you ask me to decide anything today i will throuw up on you!"

Nice....

so we wandered around the corner and i stopped and squealed "THE SCOOBY COASTER!!!"

and i dragged them both off for their first scooby experience.

the line was very minimal indeed. pretty much straight on. Sunny and I in the front, Mutha in the back.

Sunny got a fright when something in the dark moved on his left side. Mutha was torn between giggling and being scared... i was just grinning like a loon...

there's one section where u go backwards and all i could hear was Mutha behind me going "oh...oh... OH!!! no!!!!!" etc...... and beside me Sunny screaming "ohshitohshitohshit OH FUCK!!!", which of course made me cack myself all the way down to the bottom of the coaster.....

after that we got some tasty cold beverages and i can't remember if we went to the wild wild west, or played the silly sideshow game first...

i think we did the silly sideshow game, and then the water coaster (we were at the front and got wet!! it was fun) and then we saw the police academy stunt show (i saw this guy in a ridiculous shirt walking in and sitting down and immediately picked him as one of the ones they pull out of the audience. and if not, then he had to be shot for wearing that shirt in public...) and it was very well done. i know they have most of the banter between the cop and the horrible shirt guy organised, but most of this one looked as if it was improvised. it was highly amusing...

but after that i think Sunny and I went on the carousel in the loony toons village... i went on road runner, and Sunny went on sylvester. Mutha sat under a tree and looked after our various junk we had so far accumulated...

after the carousel Sunny and I both dived for the loony toons river ride. it was amusing. Sunny got dripped on. LOL!!!

we also went on the road runner rollercoaster. now THAT was fun. too short in my opinion.

after that, i think we went for some lunch in the western area. i had a wrap and some chips and coke. Mutha had some chips. Sunny had some air and water (he's a plant doncha know?).

after a lovely lunch we watched some poor people try to win a prize by throwing a bouncy ball into a bucket. they failed. big time. the guy running the game was pretty cute (we were staring at him during lunch) so i thought i'd be game enough to make a dick of myself and have a go.

first ball bounced off what i thought was a toy shark and stuck in the bucket. nice landing indeed. second shot hit the sweet spot on the edge of the bucket and stayed in. i was stoked. third shot i didn't care about so i didn't really try. and i missed the bucket by a mile. oh well. i got a big, retarded, stuffed cow as my prize. it was the toy i was eyeing off beforehand anyway. so i was absolutely thrilled!!

after some wandering around and going on the dodgem cars, i think we eventually found our way to the shrek theatre?? the shrek in 4d movie was pretty fun, but the waiting in a stuffy, enclosed room was horrible. it was too long, that's for sure. it's the kind of hot and stuffy where if you have to wait longer than five minutes you start to feel ill.... TBH i felt more sick in that room than i did on any of the rides!!

we also got ourselves some icecream and watched the street parade. pretty cool indeed. the hostess' voice got a bit irritating after a while. too nasally and high. pretty outfit though. towards the end of the parade, they stop the floats and the characters get off and have a bit of a boogie. and shrek tried to steal my icecream..... now if it was shaggy or fred or even the cute ball-game guy ("what balls do you know of that don't bounce??" a classic line that he said which i will never forget!! XD), that'd be fine... but shrek????? ugh!

it started to rain a little so we found some shelter behind the icecream shop. Mutha waited there while Sunny and I had one last ride on the water coaster. of course, it started pissing down while we were running over, but we didn't care cause it was fun anyway...

and after that ride was over, we made one last dash for the scooby coaster. it was pretty much straight in again. it was almost five so a lot of people were leaving.

we got in the front of a carriage and took off. there was and asian couple behind us in the same carriage, why are asian women so damned whiny?? this one screamed like a wuss at every major turn. even Sunny was laughing at her, and that's saying something!!

after we jumped off and laughed at our photo (i forgot where the camera was and so i was making a strange face in the shot. i was making the pop noise that donkey makes in the second [?] shrek movie), we went back to Mutha and started to make our way out of the park. a fun day was had by at least myself, so i didn't care too much about the other two. i had fun and that's what counted.

birthdays rule!!

next year, i think it's seaworld's turn to put up with me for the day.....

counting down already. 366 days to go......

roflz....

WARNING: may contain naughty words

I. He was too busy staring at some other car which just turned into a parking space.

Now I don't know if anybody realises what happens when you take your eyes off the road, especially when you're on a tight curve, but yes, this asswipe ended up heading straight for me. He looks up and realises where he is, and the look in his eyes was a pure look of "oh holy crap i'm gonna hit someone!!".

Seeing that he was on my side of the ramp, what do I do but obey my instincts and jerk the wheel to the left. And thanks to said fuckwit, my car ends up connecting with the concrete pillar that is right next to the car. And of course, physics being physics and all, my car gets the absolute shit scraped outta the door and wheel arch. As in, the wheel arch is flat. As in, it looks like I never had a wheel arch to begin with.

Like I said. I'm pretty pissed at his. I kinda wished that he did run into me, cause then I'd do the stereotypical female thing and turn on the waterworks and start swearing at him and make him really uncomfortable nad embarrassed. I'm quite good at that.

We got Teen to wind down the window and stick her head out to check for damages, but she couldn't see anything. This may have to do with the fact that there is a metal strip that pokes out along the door, and I just assumed that it would've provided at least a small amount of protection. Never assume. It makes an ASS out of U and ME.

So I got to work and parked the car, checked out the damages and got quite a huge shock. Got to my office and had a blub. I know, I know, it's a car, who cares? But it's MY car. I've put a fair bit of money into it and I try to do as much as I can to my car, on my own, but of course I'm no mechanic. But the point is, it's my baby. Sure it's old and slow, but it's got personality. Even when I get a new car, I don't want to get rid of the Volvo. Cause it's my baby!! At least I know that when Teen learns to drive, it should survive.

I'll take pictures of my poor car and post them tomorrow... if I remember.... or if I have my cable.....

Dear Diary...

i'm bored.....

the end.

Well that's unexpected...

So, Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment today.
