so today we were off to a good start. the traffic wasn't too heavy, it only took about 40 mins to get to work today. Teen made us giggle as we dropped her off at school. everything seemed a bit brighter than usual (i've been in a pretty dark mood lately. maybe when i work up the strength and courage i'll blog about it. but basically it includes heaps of stress at work, me being sick, and the ending of a relationship that's lasted for over 4 years. which is a pretty big deal at my age really. we were engaged and everything). let's see how long that good feeling lasts.
ok, so there's this old, almost senile woman that works in my office. i'm actually surprised she hasn't put herself through the shredder yet, she's that dumb. and we don't even have a shredder!! she does as little as possible and if she gets more than 2 things to do she says she's swamped and can't possibly do any more. really annoying. and sometimes i will stand in front of her and say something, and it's like it doesn't even register that i'm speaking. and she wonders why i never told her i was going for lunch and things of that nature. for this story we shall call her Dipshit. but anyway... let's continue...
this morning, Ipswich (another co-worker) and myself were having a whinge about Dipshit whilst standing at the copier, when we heard a clunk, a quiet shriek and a scraping noise.

we cautiously looked out the corner of our eyes and sure enough....... Dipshit was frantically clinging to her keyboard. Ipswich had to grab a book and hide behind it to stifle her laughter whilst i did the emo thing and hid behind my hair.
Eccentric (yet another workmate) heard her and so came around the corner to offer assistance. i looked and there was a puddle everywhere.... from the cords at the rear of the desk to the carpet in front. it looked clear so i thought it was water. turns out it was tea.
i guess we know who's desk is gonna be all nice and sticky for the rest of the day.... lulz.
in other news, yesterday whilst i was picking up Mutha from work, we were going home our usual way when i saw a rather strange sight. a volvo, much like mine, but with... (hold onto your hats kids)...... BLACK RACING STRIPES!!!!
he must have seen me pointing and giggling cause when he got closer, he stuck his hand out and gave one of those waves that aren't really a wave, but like a long distance nod of appreciation. kinda like how a motorbike rider will give an upward jerk of the head to another motorbike rider as if to say, "yeah. glad we're still here. i got respect for u."
anywho it was an amusing experience that kept us giggling until we had gotten way around the corner and onto the next street. fun times.... fun times......
